Construction continues at the OneNKY Center in Covington, owned by the Northern Kentucky Port Authority. Three overnight concrete slab pours will take place at 3 a.m. on April 4, April 26, and May 28.
This timeframe will enable the Paul Hemmer Company to beat morning rush hour traffic and keep rising temperatures from interfering with the concrete’s curing.
“We will take all measures to reduce the noise and lighting as to not disrupt the local neighbors,” said Jeff Guenther, superintendent at Paul Hemmer Company.
On March 13, crews had completed the final plaza level concrete pour and began preparation for the second floor, which will house the Covington Life Science Lab. In 2025, this building will be home to the lab and multiple Northern Kentucky growth organizations.
