The OneNKY Center in downtown Covington is the future home of the Covington Life Science Lab and Covington Life Sciences Partners and nine Northern Kentucky growth organizations, including the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, BE NKY Growth Partnership, Catalytic Fund of Northern Kentucky, OneNKY Alliance, EducateNKY, Northern Kentucky Bar Association, meetNKY, Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky, and Thomas More University Division of External Affairs.

Construction of this building, owned by the Northern Kentucky Port Authority, is more than 50 percent complete and slated to open in summer 2025. The building is 100 percent leased.

A request for proposal was released in July 2024 for an information technology (IT) vendor to provide IT services and support for building tenants and common area facilities, including conference rooms and a presentation theater. The utilization of shared services in the OneNKY Center is cost effective and will create consistency in the building.

All building tenants were invited to serve on the committee that recently chose C-Forward to serve as the preferred IT vendor.

Covington-based C-Forward provides information technology consulting services to small and mid-size businesses. The company was founded in 1999 with the goal of bringing “big business” IT solutions to small businesses in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.

“We are excited for the opportunity to serve our soon-to-be neighbors in the new state-of-the-art OneNKY Center, and to play a part in helping these organizations continue to make great things happen in Northern Kentucky,” said C-Forward President Brian Ruschman.

Although C-Forward was ultimately chosen, many local IT companies submitted proposals.

“There are many high-quality IT services companies in Northern Kentucky,” said NKY Port Executive Director Christine Russell. “We have a broad range of needs to meet within the building and C-Forward offered a flexible package that allowed tenants to customize their IT needs at a competitive price.”

With the choice of C-Forward as the preferred IT vendor, the OneNKY Center is continuing to utilize local companies to bring this project to fruition. Covington-based Corporex serves as the development and construction manager, and Fort Mitchell-based Hemmer Construction Company is the prime contractor.
